The production features Maksim“Maks”Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd, two of the most influential and celebrated Ballroom and Latin dancers in contemporary entertainment, and builds on the acclaimed dance legacy created by Burn the Floor over more than two decades. Combined with a cast of multi-disciplined Burn the Floor dancers, and a sensational live band this show delivers an unforgettable performance experience.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy is a Ukrainian-born, American Latin ballroom champion, choreographer, producer, and television personality best known for his long-running role as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars. After immigrating to Brooklyn as a child, he rose through the global competitive ranks—ranking among the top professional Latin dancers in the U.S. and world—before becoming one of the show’s most recognizable stars across 17 seasons, reaching multiple finals and winning the Mirrorball Trophy in 2014.  A charismatic and influential figure in modern ballroom, Chmerkovskiy has also built a multifaceted career spanning Broadway, television, live touring productions, and dance education, solidifying his reputation as one of the most impactful and commercially successful dancers of his generation.

Peta Murgatroyd

Peta Murgatroyd is a New Zealand–born, internationally acclaimed ballroom dancer, choreographer, and performer, widely recognized as a standout professional on Dancing with the Stars. A classically trained dancer who gained early prominence with the global stage production Burn the Floor, she went on to become a two-time Mirrorball Trophy champion, winning the competition with NFL star Donald Driver and model Nyle DiMarco, a distinction that places her among the elite in the show’s history. Known for her elite athleticism, enduring star power and commanding stage presence, Murgatroyd has built a dynamic career across television, film, and live performance, earning a reputation as one of the most accomplished and versatile female ballroom dancers in contemporary entertainment.

Created in 1997 by Australian producer Harley Medcalf, Burn the Floor emerged from a bold vision: to transform traditional ballroom dancing into a dynamic, contemporary stage experience. Since its inception, the production has redefined the genre, fusing the discipline and technique of competitive ballroom with the energy and attitude of a rock concert.

Featuring an ensemble of world-class dancers drawn from international championship ranks and leading television franchises, Burn the Floor delivers a powerful and visually striking performance that celebrates the joy, diversity and passion of dance. From the timeless elegance of the Waltz and Foxtrot to the intensity of the Tango and Paso Doble, the production showcases the full spectrum of ballroom and Latin styles.
